Fazia Darkhani is an Afghan Environmental Worker and Advocate, who is extremely passionate about working to create a greener and healthier planet for all.
Faiza is born in Afghanistan and is an experienced University Associate Professor with a demonstrated history of working in landscape management. She is skilled in Sustainable Development, Coaching, Communication, Lecturing, and Public Speaking, and speaks, Dari, Pashto, Uzbek, and English.
Faiza is a Bachelor of Horticulture from Badakhshan University, Afghanistan, and a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University Putra Malaysia which makes her a strong Educational Professor. Using her knowledge from 2014 until 2021 she has been a Lecturer at the Badakhshan University in Afghanistan where she lectured on Agricultural subjects, and guided students in their research in the field.
As part of her career, she has been a Program Support to the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) in 2015 where she provided administrative to the program on daily bases. In 2016 she completed a course at the Institute for Leadership Development under Morningstar Development in Badakhshan Afghanistan where she was able to gain more skills in leadership development, through the course she was able to gain a lot of skills in the administration which enabled her to use for advocating for better environmental policies in Afghanistan.
In 2021, she become the Director of the National Environmental Protection Agency in Badakhshan, Afghanistan which was filled until she and her family she was forced to leave her home country. Under this role, she managed and supervised employees, built and maintained relationships with Governmental Organizations, Partners, and the Community, and listened to and found environmental solutions for problems identified by the community.
Faiza is an experienced woman who has dedicated her life to the betterment of the world around her, her main passion is creating change to better protect the environment for the future generations to come, and is 100% reliable to fulfill many different roles in the education, environmental or leadership sectors that she may be offered.
